This policy explains how growthhub.io and app.growthhub.io use cookies and similar technologies. We keep this short and plain.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember information about your visit — for example, whether you are signed in.
2. Cookies we use
Necessary cookies — these are required for the site to work. They handle authentication (Clerk), session security, and CSRF protection. You cannot opt out of these without also opting out of using the service.
Analytics cookies — we use minimal analytics to understand how people use the product (page views, session counts). No advertising profiles are built. You can opt out via the cookie banner.
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again.
3. Third-party cookies
Clerk (authentication provider) sets cookies required for sign-in and session management. Their privacy policy is available at clerk.com/legal/privacy.
If you choose to connect your LinkedIn profile, the data is fetched server-side and stored in our database — no LinkedIn cookies are set on your device by us.
4. Your choices
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie banner (accessible from the footer). Withdrawing consent for analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the product.
You can also clear cookies at any time via your browser settings. Clearing authentication cookies will sign you out.
5. Retention
Necessary authentication cookies expire when your session ends or after 30 days of inactivity.
Analytics cookies are retained for up to 12 months.
